Sand Trading Tips
When trading sand with others, here are some questions you may want to ask.
- How much of each sample of sand does the person require as each person may collect different amounts (The most common unit of exchange is one camera film case = 30ml = 2tbs = 8drams = 1fl oz. = 30cc)
- Ask if they want the sand sized and cleaned or not? Some like purified sand (easier to view, pours nicely, etc.) while others collect sand in its natural state (bugs, dirt and all).
- Ask if it is it legal to ship or remove sand from thier country. There may be heavy penalties for removing sand from specific beaches.
